Are you a Disney fanatic? If not, you probably know someone who is. This is why Walt Disney was such a genius. He managed to create a world that's just as magical (and addictive) to adults as it is to children. Today, Disney trading pins have become one of everyone's favorite souvenirs in that world.

Kids and grownups alike swap pins, and if you save them for a few years, those Disney pin collections can be worth money. While most of the Disney pins on eBay are just a few bucks, the rarest pins might make you rich.

These are the most valuable rare Disney pins.

86. Super Jumbo Trader's Dream Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $650

Bottom line: Pins sold in their original packaging are always worth more than ones that have been opened up and put on display. This super jumbo limited edition pin is truly massive, measuring 5.5 inches across. The artwork for the pin was designed by Tyler Dumas, an artist working for Disney's Design Group. 

The rare pin was made in 2007, and the seller originally hoped to get Scoop Sanderson to sign it on Disneyland's Main Street. After over 30 trips with no luck, the seller decided to let the pin go, selling it on eBay for $650.

86. Disney Harry Potter Fantasy Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $650

Bottom line: Stepping away from the typical Disney characters, this Harry Potter themed pin is quite the mystery. It features Katie Bell, a minor Harry Potter character who was on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, rather than one of the leads of the series, being tormented by a cursed necklace. 

The unusual pin is one of the hardest to find, since only 15 copies were ever made. It sold on eBay with its original card in January 2022 for $650. 

85. Disney Nightmare Before Christmas Profile Pin

Pin value: $699.33

Bottom line: The soft, sage green backdrop of this limited edition pin brings out the fiery red-orange hair of Sally, the female deuteragonist of Disney's "Nightmare Before Christmas."

The large, round pin is a good choice for collectors who like to make trades in Disney's numerous parks, and it holds quite a bit of trading power, too — nearly $700 worth, to be exact.

84. Designsbygenn Disney Moana Profile Pin

Pin value: $700

Bottom line: Some Disney pins are nearly exact copies of characters from the movies, but those produced by individual artists take more creative liberties. This rare pin features an elegant profile illustration of Moana, bearing more realistic features, defined curls and an ornate backdrop.

It's not tradable in the parks, but since only 75 copies were made, it's still extremely valuable. Did we mention it glows in the dark?

83. Disney Auctions Masterpiece Series Ariel Pin

Pin value: $750

Bottom line: This is a fun reboot of Grant Wood's renowned 1930 oil painting "American Gothic." The distinctive pin features Ariel dressed in all black, looking at her stormy-looking father, King Triton.

Only 100 copies of the limited edition enamel pin were produced, and the entire pin is edged with gold to make it even more valuable.

82. Disney Dalmatians and Stitch Pin

Pin value: $795

Bottom line: The smaller the limited edition release, the rarer the pin. This one was released in a batch of 100 in 2005. The unusual mashup depicts Stitch being decorated with spots by a couple of the puppies from "101 Dalmatians."

The oversized pin is 2.5 inches wide, and sold for hundreds despite missing its original card. 

81. Disney Sleeping Beauty Fairies Pin

Pin value: $799.99

Bottom line: The fairies from Disney's Sleeping Beauty only play a supporting role, but the price tag on this pin is more like that of a leading lady.

Only 100 of these pins, produced by Disney Auctions, were created, giving the trio of fairies a pricy spot in the limelight. 

80. Hades Cutie Disney Pin

Pin value: $825

Bottom line: If it weren't for his pointed, shark-like teeth and creepy skull broach, Hades would almost look cute on this enamel Disney pin. From the Disney store in Hollywood, this limited edition Hades cutie pin was offered for a short time in 2016.

Only 300 pins were sold, and the only way to find one today is through online auctions or pure luck. 

79. Pinchantress Princely Portraits Mulan Fantasy Pin

Pin value: $848

Bottom line: When there are only 50 copies of a pin in existence, it's safe to say it's worth a fair amount. This limited edition, A grade fantasy pin features Mulan in her roughest moment, right after her identity as a woman has been revealed.

The beautiful pin isn't eligible for trade in the parks, but it's still a valuable addition to a collection.

78. Disney Cursive Cuties Stitch Pin

Pin value: $900

Bottom line: Some Disney pins, including this adorable Stitch pin, could only be found at the Disney Soda Fountain in the Disney Studio Store in Hollywood.

All the pins sold there were limited editions, including several pins featuring a cursive background. Only 300 copies of this particular pin were released.

75. Disney Jessica Rabbit Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $950

Bottom line: This eBay listing actually included not one, but two unique pins: Jessica Rabbit as Vivian Leigh from "Gone With the Wind" and Audrey Hepburn from "My Fair Lady."

They were each produced in 2010 in a limited edition release of just 100. 

75. Disney WDI Moana Heroes Profile Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $950

Bottom line: On this elegant and detailed Disney pin, the strong and beautiful Moana of Montunui is pictured with one hand gracefully draped over her heart, the other holding the amulet of her ancestors aloft, backed by a shimmering, metallic green.

Only 250 copies of this pin were produced, so it's considered very rare. 

75. Kanga and Roo Disney Anniversary Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $950

Bottom line: Kanga and Roo aren't the stars of Winnie the Pooh, but they are the stars of this pin. This was one pin of a series of five limited edition pins (Pin number 48693, 48694, 48695, 48696 and 48697) that were released as a tribute to Pooh's 80th anniversary.

When you collect them all, the pins fit together like puzzle pieces to form a cake. It was originally just $12.95, released on Aug. 7, 2006. 

 

74. Super Jumbo Maleficent Dragon Gate Pin

Pin value: $995

Bottom line: This limited edition Super Jumbo Maleficent Dragon Gate pin is ultra-rare. It was released in 2015 as part of the ACME Studio Art Archives Series, and only 100 of them were ever made. Of all the Disney trading pins, this one is one of the most valuable villain pins. 

The pin was only available for a short time at Hong Kong Disney and highlights Maleficent in her dragon form releasing an intimidating stream of fire. It was originally worth just $125. Now, expect its current price tag to continue to rise due to its rarity. 

72. Disney Winnie the Pooh Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,000

Bottom line: Only 150 of these rare Disney pins were released on Aug. 2, 2008, at the Soda Fountain and Studio Store in Hollywood, California. Collectors could only acquire the pin by visiting the shop at just the right time. Back then, they came with the price of a Pin Traders Sundae — just $11.95. 

With only 150 available worldwide and few up for sale, they're now worth much, much more. 

72. 'Hollar' Festival of Fantasy Merida Pin

Pin value: $1,000

Bottom line: Older pins tend to be harder to come by and, therefore, are more valuable. But that's not the case with this one. Released in 2019, it was part of the Festival of Fantasy Series. The design is remarkably detailed, and the pin is a sizable 3.5 inches in width. 

Only 75 were ever made, and they're almost never available for purchase.

71. Dream Jeweled Mickey Mouse Pin

Pin value: $1,295

Bottom line: This Mickey pin is deceptive. Because get this. The original pin was worth $1,295, and there were only three released. Three.

In terms of rarity, the Dream Jeweled Mickey is one of the rarest Disney pins ever made and a collector’s dream item. It's packed full of special features that add to the pin's value. Each of the three pins has 130 precious gems including garnets, black sapphires and real diamonds. 

Unsurprisingly, none of these pins have ever been listed for sale online. If that ever happens, though, they'll be much more expensive than they were originally sold for.

70. Mulan Heroines Profile Pin

Pin value: $1,450

Bottom line: It's funny how a pin that started at only $18.95 can become so valuable so quickly. Disney Princess are one of Disney's most popular lines of collectible character merchandise, so when they released a series of heroine profile pins, they were a huge hit.

They were previously sold on auction sites for around $100, but now this Mulan pin usually goes for around $1,000 or more.

69. Animated Legends Little Pixie Tinker Bell Pin

Pin value: $1,550

Bottom line: This pin might not be one of the rarest Disney pins in existence, but it's still valuable and super cool.

It features a cute picture of Tink, but it comes with an extra surprise. There's a small wheel at the bottom. When it's turned, the image flips to reveal a pencil sketch of the vibrant little fairy. 

68. Disney Auctions Sally Prototype Pin

Pin value: $1,699

Bottom line: Prototype pins are about as rare as Disney pins can get, and this mini version is ever rarer. Only three mini Sally prototype pins were ever made, and getting your hands on one is no easy task.

This prototype pin was graded 9.2, which is considered near mint condition, and it comes with a protective case.

66. Disney Auctions Jumbo Disney Dogs Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,750

Bottom line: How cool is this? The perfect valuable Disney pin for collectors who are wild about dogs, this one features all of the dogs (or most of them, anyway) of Disney. There's a similar pin featuring Disney cats, too. 

It was released in 2006 at a Disney Auctions event. The particular pin up for sale is brand new, still on its original card.  

66. 2005 Walt Disney World Official Pin Trading 50th Anniversary Castle (Tie)

Pin value: $1,750

Bottom line: Anniversaries are a big deal at Disney. To commemorate Disneyland's 50th anniversary on May 5, 2004, the park launched a media event.

This pin was produced as part of the extravaganza. It was also given out at a shareholder's meeting in Minneapolis in 2005. It's particularly cool because it features a dangling sign that says "Happiest Celebration on Earth."

65. Disney Villains Rare Disney Pin

Pin value: $1,788.95

Bottom line: Disney villains were made for people to dislike, but it's impossible for any Disney fan not to love this rare pin. Featuring eight villains, including Maleficent, Ursula, Lady Tremaine, Madam Medusa, Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, the Wicked Queen and the Old Hag, only 500 of these pins were ever released. 

The pin also came out back in 1997, so finding one in good condition is tricky, especially considering the pin's size: It's measures 6.5 by 4.5 inches, making it the largest pin on this list.

64. 2014 Disney 9th Anniversary Balloon Collection Buttercup Pin

Pin value: $1,799

Bottom line: One of the newer rare pins on this list, this one features Buttercup, a Disney Pixar character that first appeared in "Toy Story 3."

The lovable, white toy unicorn was popular enough to earn a place on her own pin in 2014 in a limited edition release of 300 as part of a Disney Anniversary event.   

62. Marie Aristocats Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,799.99

Bottom line: There are plenty of inexpensive pins of Marie, arguably the cutest cat from Disney's Aristocats, so you don't have to spend a fortune to start a fun collection. Serious collectors will love this one, however.

Offered in a limited edition release of 250, this 60th-anniversary piece is unique because of the glittering diamond hanging from Marie's collar. There are similar pins without the diamond, but they're worth a fraction of what this one is. 

62. Disney Auctions Elisabete Gomes Signed Sorcerer Mickey Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,799.99

Bottom line: Mickey earns a place on this list more than once. He is, after all, the original Disney character. This one was a Disney Auctions limited edition of 100, featuring Mickey wearing his blue sorcerer's hat and a red cap. 

The pin was based on an original charger plate designed by Elisabete Gomez, and the artist signed the back of the pin by hand. 

59. Piece of Disney Movie Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,800

Bottom line: Two-thousand copies of this particular "Tangled" pin were made, but it's actually one of the rarest Disney pins you can find. Each pin features a frame from the movie, and this one happens to feature a scene in which Rapunzel's pal, Pascal, is turning a fiery shade of red.

Finding a pin exactly like it is almost impossible! Most people were only able to snag it by waiting in line at Disneyland overnight.

59. Disney Auctions Jumbo Peter Pan Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,800

Bottom line: This limited edition pin sold out the same year it was released in 2004. Measuring approximately 3-by-3 inches, this jumbo pin showcases the entire cast of "Peter Pan." Even the crocodile joined in the fun! 

It comes with the original Disney Auctions card and has two posts on the back for added stability.

 

59. Disney Auctions Masterpiece Series No. 1 Mondrian Mouse Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,800

Bottom line: Can you spot Mickey Mouse in this unique pin? Only 25 copies were released individually with 75 more released in sets. 

This one features the artistic stylings of a Dutch painter named Piet Mondrian who was famous for developing the Neo-Plastic style. If you have $1,800 and love geometric shapes, this might be the rare Disney pin for you.

58. Jumbo Maleficent and Diablo Disney Pin

Pin value: $1,888.95

Bottom line: Maleficent's ominous black and purple cloak and eerie, mint green complexion can't scare collectors away from this seriously cool pin. 

Produced in 2016, this super jumbo pin measures an impressive 5 by 4.5 inches. Wearing it would be awkward, but that's not what it's meant for. Only 100 exist, and to add to its value, the pin features a jewel perched atop Maleficent's staff. 

53. Pluto With Butterflies Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,999.99

Bottom line: Pluto looks silly on this rare Disney pin with three butterflies perched on his tail, but there's nothing silly about the price. Only 100 copies of this enamel pin were released in 2004, and they're extremely difficult to come by.

The seller notes that every Disney Auction pin is hand finished, so no two pins are exactly the same. 

53. Lilo and Stitch Baseball Series Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,999.99

Bottom line: This is a one-of-a kind pin. No, we're not exaggerating. Only one was made because it's an artist-proof pin, complete with the AP stamp on the back. 

There were 100 made in total, making the Lilo and Stitch Duckling pin one of the most unique Disney pins ever. 

 

53. Mickey Mouse Apple Magritte Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,999.99

Bottom line: This Disney Auctions Masterpiece Series pin was released in 2006. It's actually a spoof of a famous painting from 1946, Magritte's "The Son of Man."

The rare, jumbo Disney pin almost instantly sold out.

53. Mickey Mouse Coca-Cola Rare Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,999.99

Bottom line: This pin originally came in a set of nine Coca-Cola Disney pins.

It was created by Aminco International Inc. in 2004 and was originally $175, but the price for this rare Delivery Mickey pin has skyrocketed in the years since. 

53. 101 Dalmatians 45th Anniversary Famous Error Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $1,999.99

Bottom line: The Disney Auctions company rarely makes mistakes, but they did on this ultra-rare 45th anniversary pin. Can you spot the error? 

Pongo, Perdita and their happy bundle of puppies look just like they do in "101 Dalmatians" aside from one little detail: Pongo's ears should have been black.

The jumbo pin is one of the few limited edition Disney pins that has an error, but that only boosts its value. It sold for $1,700 in both 2019 and 2020. 

45. Limited Edition Bambi Thumper Rare Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: Between Bambi and Thumper, Thumper has way more personality and pizazz. Thumper is a collector's favorite among this collection of Bambi pins, which included several other characters.

When it came out in 2003, only 25 copies were produced. On the back, the pin is stamped with Disney's logo and "A Family Pin Gathering."

45. Jumbo Ariel Artist Proof Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line:  This image of Ariel standing (sitting?) on a rock jutting out of the sea is the most iconic Little Mermaid image ever. Disney Auctions released an absolutely huge pin in a limited edition batch of 100. 

It's 3 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall, making it one of the largest rare Disney pins. 

45. Rare Shanghai Disneyland Club 33 Commemorative Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: If you didn't know, Club 33 is a private dining club at Disneyland that opened in the 1960s. It was modeled after the executive lounges designed by pavilion sponsors at the 1964 World's Fair.

Club 33 is pretty exclusive; in 2011, there was supposedly a 14-year waiting list for new memberships. As you can imagine, the Club 33 pin is just as exclusive. 

45. Disney WALL-E Marquee Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: This cute WALL-E Disney pin was found exclusively at the Disney Soda Fountain. Only 300 were ever made back in 2008, and they were only $12.95 to start.

Their worth has skyrocketed since, with 437 people currently looking for one and only 10 up for trade or sale. 

45. Disney WDI Mickey Through the Years Sorcerer's Apprentice Profile Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: Measuring about 3.5 inches in height, this large pin features Mickey Mouse dressed up in his Sorcerer's Apprentice outfit, arms poised to cast a spell.

It was released at a pop-up tent at Walt Disney World in 2018. This particular listing is for a used version that has been traded several times, but even with minor defects, it's worth a hefty sum.

45. Lion King Record Breaker Prototype Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: Back in 2018 at a Club Elite 30 event, only 50 copies of this nostalgic Lion King Disney pin were released. The characters are a throwback, and the materials of this pin are as well.

It's made of metal, but the black finish and black rubber backing definitely take us back to the 1990s. Throw in some Gushers, Beanie Babies and a Lunchable, and we'll take it.

45. Designer Princess Ariel Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: This unique pin was released by the Disney Store in a limited edition collection of 150 called the "Designer Princess collection.

This beautiful Ariel pin is super hard to come by — we've only see one listed so far!

45. Boo in Costume Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,000

Bottom line: Aw, just look at Boo in her purple monster costume. This contemporary Disney pin was one of 15 different pins released in a series during a Pin-A-Palooza Disney Auctions event in 2005. Only 50 copies were made, given out as gifts with other purchases.

Anyone who snagged one at the original event was lucky beyond belief.

44. Vintage Mickey and Minnie Disney Pin

Pin value: $2,133.11

Bottom line: All dressed up in their finest Christmas attire, Mickey and Minnie share a sweet kiss under the mistletoe. It's not the only holiday Mickey pin around, but it's the only one in which the mistletoe actually swings back and forth like the real thing.

The pin, made in 2005, is just under two inches tall, and its backing also functions as a gift tag with space to write who it's for. 

 

43. Fantasia's Chernabog Disney Pin

Pin value: $2,199.99

Bottom line: This valuable Disney pin might be the creepiest one yet. It features Chernabog, a character from Disney's 1940 masterpiece Fantasia.

Chernabog is the Slavic god of the night, and he's pretty terrifying to look at. Elisabete Gomes did an incredible job of recreating the character in enamel form. 

It's an expensive pin, but the seller has kept it in mint condition, stored safely in a glass shadowbox since the day it was first purchased.

42. Cursive Cutie Winnie the Pooh Disney Pin

Pin value: $2,200

Bottom line: Some Disney collectors pins are straight-up beautiful, while others are just plain cute. Pooh, arguably one of Disney's most endearing (and relatable) characters, is featured on this limited edition 150 surprise release pin.

Made in 2017, the pin's background has Pooh's name embossed in cursive, and Pooh looks as sheepish and snuggly as ever.

41. Beauty and the Beast Disney Pin

Pin value: $2,245

Bottom line: This classic art spin-off is art in and of itself. It's inspired by Jean-Honoré Fragonard's "Young Girl Reading," and it's simply perfection. Belle plays the role of the bookworm, because, of course, she does.

The beast looks on lovingly, looking dapper in a black suit. It's lovely. It's limited edition. And it's over $2,000.

40. Dalmatians Walk in the Park Masterpiece Pin

Pin value: $2,250

Bottom line: Released in 2006, only 100 of these rare oversized Disney pins were made. It was part of a Disney Auctions exclusive inspired by classic art, hence the ornate, gold frame. 

The pin is actually a throwback to a real painting, Georges Seurat's 1994 masterpiece "Un dimanche après-midi à l'Ile de la Grande Jatte — Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."

38. Prince Phillip with Maleficent Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,299.99

Bottom line: Ouch. This rare Disney pin shows Maleficent going all out against poor Prince Philip. It was released in a limited edition of 100 in 2007, finished with gold accents. It's also massive, reaching six inches in width and 5.75 inches in height. 

The coolest part? The pin has layers, so it's three-dimensional! Arguably just as cool, the fire from the dragon's mouth glows green in the dark.

38. Lady and The Tramp Prototype Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,299.99

Bottom line: Finding details about this pin's backstory proved to be tricky, but that's only because it's such a rare Disney pin. It was released in 2003, and because it's an artist prototype, only a few were ever made.

The price is for a mint condition version. If you have a Disney fan who adores "Lady and the Tramp" (and you're made of money), this might be the perfect gift.

37. Super Jumbo Acme Disney Princess Pin

Pin value: $2,342.95

Bottom line: Did you know that Disney has 12 official princesses? Included on this extravagant pin are Tiana, Ariel, Cinderella, Merida, Aurora, Snow White, Rapunzel, Mulan, Pocahontas, Jasmine and Belle, plus a few of their favorite animal friends.

The rare pin was included in a limited edition release of 100 at PinCon World in 2018. The base of the pin is shiny gold, and the princesses' dresses are accented with glitter. 

35. WDI Disney Villains Profile Pin Series Oogie Boogie (Tie)

Pin value: $2,400

Bottom line: Walt Disney Imagineering once released a series of 40 different Disney villain profile pins. As you can see, each had a translucent, glittery background to highlight the creepiest characters in Disney history.

Made in 2017, this 2.5-inch pin was in the fifth group of eight released, featuring Oogie Boogie from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

35. Disney Auctions Lilo and Stitch Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,400

Bottom line: Stitch is chaotic even on a pin. This colorful, rare jumbo Disney pin was released by Disney Auctions in a collection of 100.

The 2.5-inch enamel pin was designed by artist Elisabete Gomes, whose incredible work can be seen throughout this list.

With its bright, Hawaiian background, this is one of those rare pins that are both valuable and adorable.

34. Dumbo and Timothy Disney Pin

Pin value: $2,474.99

Bottom line: If an elephant can fly, there's no knowing where a pin trader can go with this pin in their collection. At the time it was listed, 228 people wanted it, but only one person was offering it for sale.

Inspired by the 1941 Disney classic, this large Dumbo limited edition pin is based on a charger plate designed by Elisabete Gomez. Only 100 were ever made, and it's also finished in gold.

33. Jumbo Bambi Pin

Pin value: $2,494.95

Bottom line: Join Bambi, Thumper and all their forest friends on this rare Disney Auctions exclusive pin. In a limited edition release of 100, this artistic, nature-inspired pin sold out almost instantly after it hit the shelves in 2006.

It's a large pin measuring three inches in diameter, so the back comes with two pin posts for added security. 

32. Dumbo With Crows Pin

Pin value: $2,498.95

Bottom line: Painted with creamy, pastel shades of enamel contrasting with black, this attractive and rare Disney pin was released back in 2005. The pin is rectangular in shape, with a few of the crows overlapping the borders.

Today, this pin is seldom seen up for sale, and when it is, the price is steep.

27. Lilo and Scrump Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,500

Bottom line: An ugly doll, but an adorable pin. On this Disney Auctions exclusive, sweet and feisty Lilo holds her favorite doll, Scrump, up in the air.

It's based on a ceramic design by Elisabete Gomez, and this particular pin was hand-signed by the artist herself. Only 100 of these oversized pins exist worldwide.

27. Megara Profile Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,500

Bottom line: Megara's beautiful, flowing brown hair is the highlight of this particular pin. The Hercules heroine was the 19th princess featured in a series of Disney profile pins, each of which included an image of a Disney princess on a glittery background. 

250 Megara pins were released in 2018, and they were originally only $18.95. 

27. Disney WDI Moana Jumbo Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,500

Bottom line: This jumbo Moana Jumbo was released in 2016 in a limited edition collection of just 150. Featuring Moana, Maui, Pua and Hei Hei, the pin was originally only $69.95.

If you still have one, consider yourself lucky. Its value will rise the longer you keep it, especially if you leave it in its original packaging.

27. Disney Auctions Aurora Princess Carousel (Tie)

Pin value: $2,500

Bottom line: In 2006 when it was first released, this rare Disney Aurora pin was sold for $65.68. Its starting price was higher than that of most pins, and its value has grown exponentially since. 

The collection was comprised of Aurora and several other Disney princesses riding carousel horses, including Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White and Jasmine. One-hundred were released in total — 75 as part of a set and 25 individual pins. 

27. Tinker Bell Day of Beauty (Tie)

Bottom line: Disney Auctions made this sweet and sassy Tinker Bell pin in a limited edition release of 100. If that's not rare enough, this one is an artist-proof prototype. Less than five were ever made.

To make it even more special, the "AP" stamp is easily visible on this particular pin, which is often not the case. The glitter on Tink's wings completes the ensemble of this rare Disney pin.

26. Disney Tinker Bell Mood Pin

Pin value: $2,550

Bottom line: This Tinker Bell pin has all the charm of the 1990s, complete with pastel hearts and stars and a mischievous Tink posed with her head tilted to the side.

This pin is currently only listed in used condition, but it's still crazy valuable. 

24. Disney Auctions Belle Art Nouveau Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,750

Bottom line: We love this artistic Art Noveau Disney pin, and we're positive Belle would, too. The pin almost has a stained-glass look, featuring Belle skipping through the flowers in her yellow ballgown with the Beast's castle in the background.

It was only $22 when it came out in a limited edition release of 100 back in February 2005. According to Pinpics, over 500 people are looking for this Belle pin, but only seven are available for sale or trade.

24. Disney Tiana Profile Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $2,750

Bottom line: Another pin within the Disney Princess profile series, this one features Tiana in a stunning blue dress, long white gloves and a matching tiara. She's holding Prince Naveen, in frog form, of course.

The pin was first sold in a limited release of 250. 

23. Maleficent and Diablo Pin

Pin value: $2,779.99

Bottom line: Back in 2004, the evil Maleficent graced this sinister pin with her presence alongside her winged minion, Diablo. The striking pin has been in high demand for years, but it's rarely listed for sale.

Only 100 copies were released, and over 300 people are currently looking for it on Pinpics. Originally, it was sold for $75.75.

22. Mickey Mouse Soda Jerk Pin

Pin value: $2,999.99

Bottom line: This is one of the rarest Disney pins in existence. A series of pins featuring Mickey serving sodas, donuts and other treats were sold in a limited release of 150.

This one, showing Mickey making ice cream sundaes with his Fantasia wizard hat nearby, is particularly hard to find. The seller claims it's the second rarest PTD (Pin Trader Delight) pin. 

21. Alice in Wonderland Tea Party Pin

Pin value: $3,299.99

Bottom line: Care for some tea? This brightly colored Alice in Wonderland Tea Party pin is a work of art. Everyone wants it, not just because they want to build their collection, but because it's beautiful.

It's one of the most desired collectors pins ever released by Disney Auctions because of how cool it looks, but only 100 were made. The Mad Hatter pin is based on a copy of a design Elisabete Gomez made in ceramics.

It's a big pin, but it's also very cool. 

 

 

20. Sleeping Beauty Elisabete Gomes Pin

Pin value: $3,499

Bottom line: Produced by Disney Auctions, this Aurora pin was released in 2005. Designed by artist Elisabete Gomes, only 100 were ever made. It started out at only $45 on its own or $200 in a set of six pins, but now it's worth thousands.

If you have one of these in your collection, check the back to make sure it's authentic. The back of this beautiful pin has gavel on it and a hologram, with two pin posts.

17. Disney Fantasy Pins Jafar 'Hollar' Jekyll and Hyde Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $3,500

Bottom line: Hollar Fantasy Pins offers an exclusive club called Club Elite 30. In 2018, members of the club had a chance to buy this jumbo Aladdin pin. Those who did are lucky.

The Jekyll-and-Hyde-themed pin features Jafar in his "good" form, with his evil, snake-like form lurking in the background. The pin is decorated with tiny red gems, and the background glows eerily in the dark.

Now, it's one of the most rare Disney trading pins you can buy.

17. Maleficent Profile Pin Villain Sleeping Beauty (Tie)

Pin value: $3,500 

Bottom line: It's funny how an item can start out cheap and become ridiculously valuable in just a few years. Hailing from the 40 pin series, 250 of these Maleficent pins were released in October 2016 by Walt Disney Imagineering. The series included eight different villains, and Maleficent might be the best of them all.

The 2.5-inch pin features a profile image of Disney's most wicked villainess on a background of green, glittering flames. In just five years, the prices of these Disney pins on eBay have soared from less than $20 to over $3,000. 

17. Lion King 'Hollar' Ultimate Grail Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $3,500

Bottom line: As far as rare Disney pins on eBay go, this Lion King pin might exude the most sass.

It was released in 2019 to members of the exclusive Club Elite 30. Made by Hollar Fantasy Pins, the super jumbo pin features the villainous lion Scar making all of his dastardly facial expressions.

If you love to hate him, this pin might be one for your collection.

16. Disney Mickey Private Ear Sheriff Badge Pin

Pin value: $3,825

Bottom line: Aspiring police officers will love this one. Resembling a real police badge, this collectible, brushed gold Disney trading pin was released in 2002 at the Disneyana Convention.

It reads "M. Mouse Private Ear," so we all know who it belongs to. There are other, newer versions available for much less money.

But they're not nearly as cool looking.

13. Chip and Dale Disney Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $4,000

Bottom line: Limited edition Disney holiday pins come and go, but this is one of the cutest sets ever released.

The rare Chip and Dale pin was a limited edition in the Christmas Holiday Decor Series, and it's hard to find. Only 250 were sold back in 2007, and it's doesn't go up for sale often.

One is available on eBay for an astronomical sum of $4,000.

13. Ariel Carousel Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $4,000

Bottom line: This 2003 pin might seem similar to the more recent 2018 Ariel Carousel collection run, but the 2003 version of the pin costs thousands more dollars.

It was produced exclusively for Disney Auctions, a now-defunct entity, for a limited 100 copy run. A quick Google search proves that it’s difficult to find online, and therefore, even more coveted by collectors.

Like the 2018 pin, it features Ariel riding a seahorse, although it’s purple and pink rather than yellow.

13. Alice in Wonderland Disney Princess Heroines Pin (Tie)

Pin value: $4,000

Bottom line: Part of the Heroines Profile Pin Series made at Mickey's of Glendale, this Alice in Wonderland pin was part of a release of only 250 pins.

The limited edition Disney pin is one of the rarest Disney pins on eBay, with a price tag to match. 

12. Signed Alice With Flowers Pin

Pin value: $4,499.99

Bottom line: Produced by Disney Auctions in 2005, we see the brilliance of Elisabete Gomes' work yet again. This colorful Alice pin features detailed, smiling flowers looking up at the classic heroine. Alice's eyes perfectly match her blue dress, and she clasps her hands in appreciation as she listens to the flowers sing. Beautiful.

This particular limited edition Disney pin is also signed by the author. The seller purchased the pin directly from Disney Auctions and stored it safely in a shadowbox until now, so it's in excellent condition.

 

11. Disneyland Windows of Evil Pin

Pin value: $4,500

Bottom line: Only 2,000 of these spooky, rare Disney pins were made. After coming out in 2019 at a starting price of $16.99, this became one of the most sought-after pins on eBay.

It was somewhat of a gimmick for "The Lion King," featuring glass, glitter and Scar's, ahem, charming personality.

It came 11th in a series of villain-themed pins released on a monthly basis.

10. Disney Sorcerer Mickey Pin

Pin value: $4,999

Bottom line: Some Disney trading pins are tough to acquire without visiting Disneyland in person.

This Sorcerer Mickey Pin was released by Trader's Delight in 2007, but you couldn't just buy it. The pin came along with ice cream sundaes purchased at the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood.

Who knew an ice cream sundae could end up worth so much?

9. Disney Auction Aladdin Genie Pin

Pin value: $4,999

Bottom line: "I'm losing to a rug" was one of Genie's best lines in Disney's "Aladdin," so Disney Auctions put it on a pin.

On this particular edition, Genie is seen impersonating Rodney Dangerfield, a famous American comedian whose career took off in the 1980s. Decked out in a pink and blue tie, Genie plays chess with the magic carpet, and loses. Poor guy.

You'd think a genie would have more luck. But Dangerfield always got no respect.

8. 50 Year Service Award Pin

Pin value: $4,999

Bottom line: The 50 Year Service Award is as exclusive as Disney trading pins get. At no point could Disney Park visitors go buy one at the Disney store. This rare, collectible Disney pin is only ever given to Disney cast members who work at the park for 50 years straight. It's occasionally up for sale online, but not very often. Just think how rarely someone works for a company for that long.

The Disney 50 Year Service Award pin features "Steamboat Willie," the movie that popularized Mickey Mouse and kick-started Walt Disney's animation legacy. To show cast members just how much they're valued, the pin is decorated with a real diamond.

7. Disney Auctions Belle Princess Carousel Horse Pin

Pin value: $5,000

Bottom line: In 2003, this jumbo Princess Belle pin was produced by Disney Auctions as part of an exclusive set of six princess pins. Only 75 sets were made, plus 25 individual pins of Princess Ariel.

Each pin features a princess on a carousel horse. Lucky for Belle, she already has one. On this rare Disney pin, she's pictured riding Phillippe, her loyal horse from the movie.

The pin was originally only $65. That's still a lot for a pin, but nothing compared to what it's worth now.

 

6. Disney Cruise Line Castaway Cay Mickey Mouse Pin

Pin value: $5,400

Bottom line: This rare Disney pin was an open edition, meaning it wasn't a limited release. Even so, the Disney Castaway Cay Mickey Mouse pin is worth a hefty sum.

Originally released in the fall of 2011, this pin is one of several Castaway Cay pins produced. It's hard to find, which is why it's now one of the most valuable Disney pins on eBay.

5. Disney Fantasy Pins Oogie Boogie 'Hollar' Jekyll and Hyde Pin

Pin value: $6,000

Bottom line:  As you probably already know by now, rarity is a large part of what gives Disney pins value. This Disney Fantasy pin is about as rare as it gets.

In 2016, the pin was made exclusively for 12 backers from Club Elite 30 who helped select the design. It was part of the Jekyll and Hyde Series, in which a "good" and an "evil" side of a select number of Disney villains are featured. No copies have been made since.

The ultra-unique pin features one of the villains from Disney's "Nightmare Before Christmas," and it has some special features to boot. It's jumbo in size, decorated with light green gems around the frame, and even better?

It glows in the dark.

4. Disney Girls Rapunzel Chaser Pin

Pin value: $7,999.99

Bottom line: Released in 2010, this limited edition Disney pin started out at just $19.95 for a pack of two. It was one of 11 pins in a set of Disney princess "chaser" pins.

This one in particular is considered difficult to find. It features Rapunzel from "Tangled" in her favorite purple dress adorned with three glittering jewels at the bottom.

The price varies depending on condition, but this is the highest-selling price we found.

 

3. The Disney Gallery Logo Pin

Pin value: $9,999

Bottom line:  This light blue Disney trading pin accented in gold was made with 1,200 copies when it first came out. It's modeled after a sign outside the Disney Gallery, a place many Disneyland fans know and love.

It has one pin post on the back and is just over an inch tall. We love the classic look, but we're not sure it's worth the price of a used car. 

2. Disney 2015 Giant Tree Animal Kingdom Pin

Pin value: $10,000

Bottom line: An exclusive design from 2015, this jumbo pin features six of the most popular Disney characters, including some of the newer characters like Nemo and Dug. There are other similar rare Disney pins available from other years that feature other characters on a tree, like this one from 2020.

The price on this particular pin, however, is dubious. It was made as part of a limited edition release by Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom with only 500 ever sold, but that's not quite rare enough to justify such a steep price tag.

Of all the Disney pins on eBay, this is the pin with the highest price for a single pin. It's unclear whether the seller will have any luck, but the pin is considered quite valuable either way.

1. Mickey Sorcerer Pin

Pin value: $11,225

Bottom line:  What makes a pin worth over $11,000? Rarity, uniqueness and an ambitious eBay seller, apparently. Designed by the famed Elisabete Gomes, this Charger pin was released by Disney Auctions in 2006.

Only 100 copies of the oversized pin were made. To make this pin even rarer, the back of the enamel pin is hand-signed by the artist. The seller is offering the pin in mint condition on its original card, which seems like the bare minimum for such an expensive pin.
