‘The Lost Boys’ Cast, Then And Now

Vampires never go out of style, and the bloodsucking cast members of "The Lost Boys" are no exception. They have had a hold on audiences since the film's 1987 release.

Some of the actors of this 1980s classic went on to even greater things. Others had a much harder time. Find out what they're all up to now.

Then: Kiefer Sutherland

Lost Boys character: David Powers

Age when Lost Boys was released: 20

Bottom line: The son of actor Donald Sutherland, Kiefer Sutherland made his acting debut in "Max Dugan Returns" in 1984 alongside his dad. After moving to Hollywood permanently in 1986, he starred in "Stand by Me" with another "Lost Boys" alum, Corey Feldman.

He also starred with Sean Penn in the crime-thriller "At Close Range" in 1986, the year before his stint as David Powers, the main antagonist in "The Lost Boys."

What they're up to today: Kiefer Sutherland made movies throughout the 1990s and still does today, but he's best known as federal agent Jack Bauer from the critically acclaimed series, "24." While playing Bauer, Sutherland won an Emmy, a Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

When he's not acting, Sutherland plays music. He has released several albums and tours the world. He also owns the independent record label Ironworks, with friend and fellow musician, Jude Cole.

Then: Jason Patric

Lost Boys character: Michael Emerson 

Age when Lost Boys was released: 21

Bottom line: Jason Patric was born of Hollywood royalty. His grandfather is none other than "Honeymooners" star Jackie Gleason, and his father is playwright and actor Jason Miller, who is best known for playing Father Damien Karras in "The Exorcist."

Patric made his debut alongside Bruce Dern in the television drama "Toughlove." His first film role was in "Solarbabies" with Jami Gertz before both starred in "The Lost Boys."

Then: Corey Haim

Lost Boys character: Sam Emerson

Age when Lost Boys was released: 16

Bottom line: Haim was a child actor who starred in commercials before scoring a role in the 
Canadian series "The Edison Twins" from 1984 to 1986.

He moved to Hollywood, and by 1986, he was top-billed in the teen dramedy "Lucas."

Now: Corey Haim

The duo became known as the "The Two Coreys" and appeared in a series of films together, including "License to Drive" and "Dream a Little Dream."

Lost Boys character: Alan Frog

Age when Lost Boys was released: 17

Bottom line: Newlander was a commercial actor before his silver screen debut. The "Lost Boys" is one of his first films.

Career highlights: Newlander is mostly known for his work in "The Lost Boys" but he has also starred in "Lost Boys: The Tribe" and "Lost Boys: The Thirst" (2010) as Alan Frog.
