Many of us grew up with Pyrex in the homes of our parents or grandparents. This colorful glassware that was virtually indestructible was made by Corning Glassware until 1998.
Vintage pieces made from the 1950s to the 1970s are highly sought after by collectors due to their appearance in shows likes "Mad Men" and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."
With the desire for mid-century modern (MCM) collectibles at an all-time high, Pyrex's parent company recently filed for bankruptcy in June 2023. While its vintage pieces have greatly increased in value over the past decade, who knows how high they'll go now?

Turquoise Drippings Jar Bowl

Bottom line: For those that don't know, "drippings" are the fats that roll off juicy pieces of lamb, beef or pork. Also known as lard, it was used in many dishes before the 1970s and was stored in a container.
Pyrex has their own version of a drippings jar, which is quite rare and highly collectible today.
Rose Square Hostess Bowl

Bottom line: This hostess bowl with a matching lid may be the oldest on the list — it was released in the late 1940s to early 1950s.
The bowls were part of a set to support dinner parties, which were becoming all the rage during the time.
White Snowflake Round Cake Pan

Bottom line: In 1956, Snowflake had three versions — a white pattern on a turquoise background (the most popular), a turquoise pattern on a white background and a white pattern on a charcoal background. The white-on0turquoise design was discontinued in 1967.
The turquoise-on-white pattern was discontinued in 1963, and the charcoal version was discontinued in 1960, making those pieces even more collectible.
Atomic Eyes Chip and Dip Bowl Set

Bottom line: This "Hot ‘N’ Cold" chip and dip set has a pattern that collectors have officially dubbed "Atomic Eyes." It is unknown exactly when it was released, but it is believed to be sometime in 1950s.
This set would have been a promotional, test or hostess item. This one is even rarer in that it comes with a stand and the original box.
Gooseberry Cinderella Bowl Set

Bottom line: The Gooseberry line was discontinued in 1966. The most popular bowls are pink and white, and they are popular collectibles, especially as a whole set. Even rarer are bowls with a black pattern and white or yellow background, which was discontinued in 1962.
But that's not all — a gold pattern on a beige background also exists, but it was not offered to the general public. Therefore, it's likely to sell for far more than what these bowls sold for.

Spring Blossom Casserole Dish

Bottom line: The Spring Blossom pattern has been dubbed "Crazy Daisy" by collectors and was produced in two runs, from 1972 to 1979 and 1979 to 1981. The alternating background colors were white and avocado green.
Despite how popular they were at that time, they are a hot collectible among MCM collectors today who are willing to pay big bucks for a complete piece like the one above.
Atomic Starburst Casserole Dish

The Atomic Starburst dish came in three colors — turquoise, black and cream. The rarest is cream, and there are only a handful of dishes known to exist in this color.
Blossom Breeze Bowl

Bottom line: This promotional turquoise bowl unofficially dubbed "Blossom Breeze" dates back to 1961.
As it was not part of a standard line, the turquoise bowl with white wispy floral motifs is extremely rare, especially if it comes with a lid, as this one does.

Bottom Line: Does it get any more "Mad Men" than the Barcode pattern seen above? This design was available in 1966 only, and it was not available to the general public at that time.
All Barcode patterns are rare. "Blue Stripe" is the most common and goes for about $100. The prototypes in yellow and black, blue and yellow, green and white, yellow and orange, brown and orange, and black and blue go for considerably more money.

Cinderella Bowl With Unknown Pattern

Bottom line: What a great promo item! Made between 1953 and '54, shoppers who purchased three cans of Heinz Oven-Baked Beans could get this dish for a whopping 79 cents extra.
A handful of clear lids with forest green “eyes” have been found but were made only as prototypes.
